Meenmutty waterfalls - The largest and most spectacular waterfall in Wayanad, Meenmutty is a three-tiered fall located in the middle of a lush, moist, tropical forest,. The water plunges down from about 300 meters in three stages, and all the three stages require separate treks. The first tier can be reached by walking for about half km from the parking area. The second tier can be reached by trekking up through steps built over boulders. The half km path runs along with downstream of the river and offers wonderful views of the stream and thick vegetation. The third tier is the toughest and needs some walking through the stream on slippery rocks with help of ropes. The ascend is steep at few places and this half km stretch takes about 10-15 minutes. The peak on top of third tier offers breathtaking views of Banasura Sagar Dam and surrounding valleys. Visit Banasura Sagar Dam, it is reckoned as the largest earth dam in India & the second largest of its kind in Asia. The dam is made up of massive stacks of stones & boulders. Neelimala View Point - It has a dazzling view of the Meenmutty falls and valleys surrounding it. A short trek is involved to reach this place. One of the most scenic places surrounded by plants and flowers of all varieties and hues along, with the refreshing aroma of coffee. A visit to Wayanad is incomplete without soaking in this magnificent sight. Soochipara waterfall - is a three tiered waterfall surrounded by dense green forest, is also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfall. The water here cascades down from a height of 200 ft and this waterfall is an ideal place for trekking and rock climbing. One has to walk around 2 km to reach the waterfall.
