Jantar Mantar (Observatory) - one of the five astronomical complexes constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh II.     After breakfast, we leave Jaipur for Bikaner. We’ll reach there by lunchtime and visit various forts, palaces, museums and temples in Bikaner. The Junagarh Fort in Bikaner is one among five forts in Bikaner, famed as being the most decorated forts in India. It houses grandeur palaces and is unusually built on lower ground with lower ramparts and towers. In the evening, we’ll visit a prestigious camel breeding farm, the National Research Centre on Camel, and learn how they care for camels and other interesting facts about these desert land creatures. We return to the hotel and stay overnight in Bikaner.

    Sightseeing: Transfer From Bikaner To Jaisalmer Enroute Kheechan & Kuldhara Sightseeing
    After breakfast, we head out to Jaisalmer and make a short stop at Kheechan, a desert village known as a bird watching destination. You can watch thousands of migratory birds, with Demoiselle cranes during wintertime particularly popular around this area, making it an open-area bird conservatory location. Upon reaching Jaisalmer, we check-in at the hotel and visit Amar Sagar Lake, which used to be an artificial lake that served as a reservoir. It’s now a beautiful oasis next to the Amar Singh Palace. We’ll also visit the village of Lodhruva, around 15 km from Jaisalmer, where we can find Lodhruva Jain Temple adorned with intricate carvings. Just as equally interesting is the abandoned village Kuldhara. It is believed that this empty village is now a haunted village, housing ghosts in its hollow buildings. We’ll also visit the rare desert area Sam Sand Dunes, a must-see spot located at the edge of Jaisalmer Desert National Park. A wide array of activities are offered here, from camel riding to star gazing. We visit Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quila) in the evening, famed as one of the remaining few “living forts” built by Rajput Rawal Jaisal in 1156. Meaning, the fort is still functioning as an occupied space by one fourth of the city residents. Its yellow sandstone walls glow gold during sunset, earning the title “Golden Fort.” It overlooks the Thar Desert. After the fort, we return to the hotel and spend overnight in Jaisalmer.
